Things are looking good at the Tigers with many new faces including Jayden Charlton and Liam Azzopardi from Hobart City, Oliver Farid from Kingborough, and Tim Dennis, Ryan Sullivan, Alex Stephens and Hayden Triffett all returning after a year off! This has really strengthened our senior line up! Other new players to impress are Chris Elwell (a former junior BnF winner) and Josh Spriggs (Clarence U18 premiership player). Our leaders in Luke Sullivan, Jared Mason, Sam Reeves, Tim Langdale and Andrew Henderson are gearing up nicely for the year ahead! As well as this our premiership young guns are all signed up with Zane Awde, Will Stadler, Will Clerk, Lachie Plummer, Will Muskett, Harry Fish, Jayden Marshall, Isaak Hovington and Jesse Gardner all pushing for senior selection this year!
The group has been challenged by ground unavailability and location changes but this hasn’t stopped the commitment of the boys. Over the summer break they have set up their own training groups which will be used at times throughout the year. This will galvanise the group and this effort will be seen when training commences this Sunday at 8.30am from the Cross Roads. This will be a park run practice followed by some skill work!
The next session after that will be Wednesday 17th at Cosgrove High School from 5:40pm.
Then the official “Park Run” will be Saturday 20th at 9am starting from the Domain. Players will make themselves available for this important community event! This will be followed by BBQ at the Crossroads. Training will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from then onwards.
Practise games in February include Longford and St Virgil’s and then in March DOSA and North Hobart!
Exciting times await, so get onboard the Tiger Train for 2018.
