LAST WEEK:
One game to go for the season, or should I say one until the finals? Hopefully the chance to play finals will have the team fully recovered and firing on all cylinders today against Huonville. Last Saturday we were true to form.  Our under 18’s were decimated with injury and unavailability but continued the learning curve that will bring success.

Our reserves jumped out of the blocks, eased played some fair football, dodged the biffo, settled and under pressure made sure they are going to be part of this year’s finals campaign.  The seniors were a different kettle of fish struggling early and up to half time not showing the Tiger spirit.  The third quarter was us true to form and at three quarter time it looked like being much can Cygnet win by?  The three quarter time break must have included a stirling speech from coach Steven Woods because in the last we showed that all is possible and not only matched Cygnet on the scoreboard but we looked like winners.  The requirements have now changed and we must take our last quarter, build on that and then deliver the match winning result that will see us play in the elimination final at Boyer or Cygnet next Saturday. It is always good to look for positives particularly after a loss and this week on senior player really delivered and that was Stuart Paterson, he led well, he defended well, kicked to targets and was the outstanding light in our loss.  We hope to see lots more of this form from Stuart.
