Last Week’s Results
Seniors
Tested for depth the Tigers were up against it, and unfortunately it wasn’t the performance we were hoping for. After a strong showing and narrow loss against the Two Blues the Tigers never really looked in control, but roared their way to the front half way through the third quarter. But the endeavour and strong performance from the week prior just wasn’t there. As a club however, we are proud of Under 19s with senior debuts to Lachie Andrews and Luke Kruene on the weekend, both held their own and made up a contingent of six under 19s player representing the club in the same game. No doubt these guys will continue to get opportunities, and they will make the most of them once more. Best of luck to the boys this week as we take on Brighton and we will be looking to bounce back with four points.

Reserves
The Tigers fought hard, but it was heartbreak at the end. The Tigers were a goal up with a minute to play, but unfortunately dropped 1.1 in the dying moments to go down in a nailbiter. Strong endeavour across the ground, and if the Tigers back up this fight they will be back on the winners list!

Under 19s
I don’t really know what to write about this one, but the Tigers put in a flawless performance, and they did it with a number of guys out playing senior footy.
Donovan was the first Tiger I can recall to kick 10 in a long time, Continenza looked comfortable out there on debut for the HFC after missing a lot of games due to a hand injury and there were some 9 goal kickers across the board. A solid team effort!

Sponsor Story
Another wonderful story of a sponsor.Β Recently my daughter had her beloved 1985 Corolla stolen and trashed so the call is βDad, help!β. Two days later she rang me to say she had found a 2012 Corolla on the net and negotiations had got to back to $13,000 cash.Β I checked it out and was unimpressed given it was in an ordinary condition and had 190,000 km on the clock. Impatience was driving my daughter to buy this car and I was not happy.Β I rang Stuart Graves at Co-Op Toyota and asked for some help in obtaining a decent car.
Two hours later Stuart rang and said one of the reps had just traded a 2014 Corolla with 46,000 km on the clock and yes it was owned by a little old lady.Β Β My daughter visited Stuart and within another two hours the deal was done.Β The car was $14000 (and in as new condition) , Co-op Toyota arranged all the change of ownership, gave her a warranty and the next day she drove out with the new transport. Her words last week to me was I wish I had done this years ago.
This is the sixth time our family and close friends have used Co-Op Toyota for vehicles and I can seriously relate to the “Oh what a feeling” adverts on TV. Thanks again for your wonderful customer service and ongoing support of the Hobart Football Club.
