Round 9 v Lindisfarne

Lindisfarne V Hobart at Anzac Park, 2pm

This Saturday sees the undefeated Lindisfarne Nu-Jet Blues take on the third placed ‘Co-Op’ Toyota Hobart Tigers at ANZAC Park.

It is widely tipped that Lindisfarne will maintain their undefeated season after facing Hobart this weekend in Round 9.

Lindisfarne have been on fire all season and show no signs of slowing down when they come up against the Tigers this week.

The Tigers are currently sitting third on the ladder but they say things come in threes, and Hobart has suffered a couple of devastating losses for the last two rounds.

Hobart need this win to retain their position on the ladder as a finals contender, currently sitting equal to Huonville and Cygnet and if either of those two teams snares a win the Tigers will begin the slide down the ladder.

The last time these two teams have played, Lindisfarne has come out with a massive win and judging from the last 8 rounds of football there is little doubt that this game will end the same way.

This match sees a return of local footy to the airwaves with the Hobart FC and Edge Radio 99.3FM proud to bring you the first of our live broadcasts from 1.50pm.

Make sure you tune in, to the first of many broadcasts which will be followed by the broadcast of Hobart v Huonville the following Saturday.

Hobart FC director and commentator Joshua Munting expressed his excitement “for the HFC in conjunction with Edge Radio to show that community sport and radio still belong hand in hand.”

He concluded that “I for one look forward to the opportunity to bring community footy to the people, wherever they are on a Saturday afternoon”.
