Invitation to Join the Hobart Football Club Board of Directors
Dear Member,
The Hobart Football Club is proud of its rich history and its unwavering commitment to fostering excellence both on and off the field. Guided by our 2024–2027 Strategic Plan and inspired by our vision to be “a highly regarded and professional club, cultivating a strong culture centered around family, friendships, and positive work-life balance,” we are excited to embark on the next phase of our journey.
To achieve our vision of setting the benchmark for sportsmanship, community engagement, and success on and off the field, we recognise the need for strong, diverse leadership. As part of this commitment, we are seeking skilled female members to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of our club.
Our recent Board Skills Matrix review identified opportunities to strengthen our expertise in governance, football operations, and community engagement—key areas critical to delivering on our strategic priorities. Moreover, as our demographic continues to evolve, it is vital that our leadership reflects the diversity of our membership and community.
We are looking for female members who can contribute expertise, leadership, and passion in one or more of the following areas:
- Governance: Strategic oversight, compliance, and risk management.
- Football Operations: Knowledge of football development, operations, and player pathways.
- Community Engagement: Building strong connections with our community and fostering inclusivity.
By joining the Board, you will:
- Play a pivotal role in driving the Hobart Football Club’s strategic goals and vision.
- Contribute to a thriving, inclusive environment that supports our members to excel as footballers, professionals, and individuals.
- Help the club remain eligible for critical funding opportunities, including government grants, by demonstrating intent and action toward diversity and leadership excellence.
