Tiger Talk – 21 July 2016

Another disappointing week with only our reserves able to hold their heads up high. Our under 18’s were swept away by the Southern Storm.

Southern Storm.  6.6.  11.7.  17.8.  23.14 (152)
Hobart  1.3.   1.3. 2.5. 3.5  (23)
Goalkickers: Tom Farnham, Harry Fish, Trey Ramritu.
Best: Jaydon Aram, Harry Fish, Isaac Hovington, Brodie Clifford, Tyson Barr and Jamie Woolley.

Our Reserves played a good brand of football, ran hard and took some risks to run out ten point winners in very blustery conditions. There were several outstanding efforts with Braydon Rosendale kicking five goals, as well as Brenton Allie and Jacob Munting running riot around the ground. Next week will be a real test for this side as we play the ladder leaders Claremont.
Hobart.   3.2.  4.2.   8.4.   9.6 (60)
Cygnet.  1.4.   5.6.   5.7.   7.8 (50)
Goalkickers Braydon Rosendale 5, Matthew Collis, Darren McDonald, Luke Allie, Harry Fish.
Best players Braydon Rosendale, Brenton Allie, Jacob Munting, Beau Bennett, Trey Butler, Luke Allie.

The Seniors were undermanned and from the first minute Cygnet took control of the game and scored almost at will. Jason Laycock kicked a lazy eight goals for Cygnet and was aided by Brayden Hayes with 4 and Ben Halton 2. It was a long afternoon in the grandstand and I am sure it wasn’t any better out on the ground.
Hobart. 2.1.   2.3.   4.4.   8.7 (55)
Cygnet.  10.5.   14.8.   21.14.   26.14  (170)
Goal scorers Sam Reeves 2, Dylon Huxley 2, Mark Beck. Tim Dennis, Shane Bradford, Luke Sullivan
Best Callan Newman,  Marcus Fitze, Tim Langdale, Josh Webster, Dylan Huxley, Shaun Gray.

There was some great happenings at the TCA with the annual presidents lunch being held in the den with many well known business and sporting personalities in attendance. On the couch was Jamie Shanahan, Number 1 Ticket Holder John X and the new Tasmanian Football Council Manager Jackson Hills.

Next week sees us travelling to New Norfolk for what will be a great day out and this will be broadcast live by our community partner Edge radio on 99.3fm so check it out, even if you can’t make the game.

Our game against Lindisfarne will also be a celebration of those who have crossed the river to play with the other club check out the brochure below and book now!
