The New – The Old – The Returning

This week we feature newly appointed HFC Women’s coach, Claire Sutton

Claire previously played for Hobart from 2012 to 2013 & would have continued if not for the merge of Hobart & North Hobart to Hobart City. Claire remembers her time with HFC & a great group of girls & was very disappointed when they were unable to continue. Claire unashamedly  admits she watches A LOT of football

Claire continued to play football with Hobart City until 2014 when she was hit by a car travelling at 60 km/h & received devastating injuries which have stopped her playing. She has endured a very long recovery process and as a consequence is unable to play “YET”.

In the meantime Claire is relishing her coaching role with all but one player having never played footy.  She is enjoying teaching the game & watching them improve their skills & fitness, with every training session The win over New Norfolk has added to the confidence of the whole group.

Claire is pictured centre with Alistair Lynch and other HFC Coaching Staff

Claire is also enjoying the support of her male counterparts & experienced the atmosphere of the coaches box for the senior game against Claremont Her goal is to keep on improving  skills & fitness of our young team

With Claire’s dedication & positive attitude, we are very confident of future success.
