Tiger Talk

Footy Update

Things have heated up at Tigerland with the season just around the corner. We have some exciting announcements to make. We are pleased to announce that Sam Reeves has been appointed as captain for the second year after a player and coach vote. Last years B&F winner, Tim Langdale is our Vice Captain with highly professional backman Rosco Hugo as Deputy Vice Captain.

Our camp was a great experience and learning curve for all. The boys were asked to get comfortable with the uncomfortable, and they accepted the physical challenges with aplomb.

So far the boys have played in two brutal intra clubs in stifling heat. In the second intra club we had two full teams with nearly 20 unavailable. The boys were keen to impress and they took a leaf out of North Melbourne’s fiery intra club clashes. This is a sign the club is in a great spot and we remain committed to bridging the gap between us and the best.

We are all looking forward to playing against strong opposition in the following weeks including DOSA in the Ty Bennett Cup (details TBC) and honing our game for round one.
