Not since the appointment of Mark Browning in 1988 have we been able to announce such a highly credentialed club coach. The “Cat” is outta the bag, 2011 Geelong premiership player and Brisbane Lion Allen Christensen has signed to coach the Tigers for the next two seasons. Off the back of steering Lauderdale to TSL grand finals in seniors and reserves a couple of weeks back, the Crafty Cat’s arrival at the TCA will be the shot in the arm we need as we strive for growth in ‘25 and beyond.

Whilst Bundy will perform the role of playing coach for the next two seasons, he will also perform the equally critical Junior Development Officer function. The club is well aware of the importance of a healthy and engaged junior program. The primary task in this space will be to engage schools in our “zone”, execute a fun and memorable AFL session for all students (1990 Zinger Wilson vibes).

With 133 AFL games to his credit, across an 11 year career, we trust the young Tiger group will thrive under the affable former pick #40 of the ‘09 draft alumni. “I’m stoked to be joining Hobart in roles that are both equally important.
